Cambridge is well known as the 'town of trees and champions' with New Zealand rowing having their base at nearby Lake Karapiro and the New Zealand Cycling team based at the Avantidrome near St Peters School on the edge of town- along with Tri NZ's (triathletes) also taking advantage of these fantastic training facilities.
The athletes enjoy what the district has to offer in the way of these training environments which are also shared by the local community as is the tremendously popular world class BMX track.
The beautiful lake Karapiro is always a great place to visit, with its views, walkways and water sports on offer it is a must for families or outdoor enthusiasts who just love to explore.
