If you’re looking for high-energy adventure activities, your group will love Epworth’s thrilling water slide and large swimming pool. Send them soaring through the air on the flying fox, or navigating the river on one of our many kayaks. Set up a friendly game of cricket or touch on our huge, flat lawns, or release some excess energy in the indoor gymnasium.

Our smiling staff are on hand to keep things running smoothly. Epworth stocks a full range of sporting and leisure equipment and provides organized activities to keep your camp active - and take some of the pressure off you!

A natural paradise
Epworth also provides a peaceful break from the pressures of city living. Wander the banks of the Waikato River, or take a guided tour to learn more about this beautiful natural area. We collaborate with the Maungatautari Ecological Island Trust to offer a unique nature experience which includes a classroom session and a guided walk through the fenced Maungatautari sanctuary. Your group can experience the New Zealand bush as it used to be 200 years ago.

Quiet options
There are also plenty of opportunities for quiet reflection. Epworth’s many rooms mean that privacy and quiet time are always available. Rest, relax, or read a novel in the tranquil natural surroundings. 

Generous accommodation
In addition to its ample camping areas, Epworth can comfortably accommodate 160 people in indoor accommodation. 34 beds in private rooms sleep 2-4 people, while our revamped dormitory-style accommodation comprises 126 beds.
Large school and youth camps are easily accommodated, while the organizers have a place to relax and enjoy themselves away from the hustle and bustle of the group.
Our modern kitchen facilities are clean and spacious, and we have catered or self catering options.
